Our Crumble Story
One idea, one summer, one goal: help animals.
How it started
Hi! my nickname is Nessa but some people simply call me Ness. I'm 9 years old and I go to school in London. For a summer entrepreneurship project, I had to come up with a business idea and try to make as much money as possible — then give it to charity. I started with £5.
I was at my grandparent's house in the Cotswolds and we picked fresh apples and blackberries. I love baking so decided to make a "Crumble" business. I also love ice cream and realised that when you get to the bottom of an ice cream cone it is empty so why not fill it with the delicious crumble. So I created a CrumbleCone - after all people love eating crumble with ice cream on top! Finally, I really love animals. So I thought... why not put crumble and ice cream together and raise money for the RSPCA?

Why the RSPCA?
The RSPCA helps animals who are hurt, lost, or not being treated kindly. They rescue pets, wild animals, and farm animals all over the UK. I want every pound of profit from CrumbleNess to go towards helping them look after animals and find them safe homes.
The CrumbleCone
My signature invention is the CrumbleCone: a crispy ice cream cone stuffed with warm apple crumble, topped with vanilla ice cream and rainbow sprinkles. It's crunchy, warm, cold, and sweet all at once — basically a party in a cone.
I also make crumble in tubs for anyone who wants a proper sit-down treat. You can have it plain, with cream, or with ice cream.
